in case of emergency...

i have been holding this baby back as an emergency pick-me-up should the moving truly bring me to my knees. as i just spent 30 minutes crying quietly in a bank lobby whilst talking on the phone to Mom, i think today qualifies.

oh yeah. that's right. i guess i am making progress.

i was crying in the lobby because it was too hot to cry outside... or in my car... seriously.

it was nothing to do with the bank. nothing serious. just the cumulative effect of everything i have done the last week serially imploding while i simultaneously cannot find good espresso beans, good yarn or a good mood from my SO.

did i mention that my bank closed all branches between when i researched this issue and our move so that we have to open new accounts? of course, we don't have ATM cards yet so i eventually i had to get in line to deposit a check.

somewhat self-conscious about my appearance, i stated i was in the agonal throes of a move. the teller nodded sympathetically and said, 'Darlin', you jess need to set down for a good ol cry.'

people in the south are just so darn lovely.

ps. thanks (re the pic). my old photo was hosted on my personal website which was tied to my email which was tied to an IP which was tied to my apartment in CO and so, of course, was deleted when we moved... [shrug] i figured it was as good as any other time for a change.
